Blessing “福” is a collage made up of red envelopes gifted to me by my family.  In Chinese culture red envelopes are given as a sign of well wishes for success and health.  Red envelopes are typically given by the elders to the younger generation during holidays and gatherings.  When collecting red envelopes my family would always tell me to save up the money inside for college.  To me these red envelopes represented my immigrant family’s hope for my future success.   As a current student at UC San Diego I wanted to find a way to say that “I made it” to my family and to myself.
