Progress
I was able to finish up my physical prototype of the installation. I have settled on the idea of memory being the driving force of my project. I am planning to have different drawings or loose sketches in various colors on top of the paint chips. The arduino will power the neopixles that will shine different color lights onto the surface. If the drawing on the surface is the same color as the light the drawing will fade away into the piece. My goal is to emanate the shifting nature of memories.
For the prototype I was able to lay out my horizon line with yellows and the sky with purples. Due to the small size of the prototype detail was difficult. I plan to better sketch out my features on my final project so I can have more distinct shapes. I am not planning to create hard edges but I would like the viewers to understand that the blue is the ocean while the yellow is the fading sunset.
