This piece was made with a polaroid I took of Lake Kawaguchi while I was traveling in Japan. It expands on the original image of the lake with a person viewing it from afar. The black paper used in this piece creates deep shadows that accent the colored pencil strokes. This aids in the dirt path drawing the viewer’s eyes from the bottom of the page to the lake, with its use of perspective and apparent pencil strokes.
